The history of this site has been discussed in detail by Nadeshda Kaneva as an illustration of the social dynamics that emerge in online communities While still cheaper than the popular Second Life it cannot compare or compete with it nor any subscription based virtual experience.Īs of September 2011 the game's player base has dwindled. The cost is $5.00 per month or $49.99 a year. Each user is allowed a free 2D home and can locate it within any of a number of colonies subdivided into neighborhoods and blocks. Users are able to have jobs within the community, thus gain virtual money called CC's (Cit圜ash) that can be used to buy 3D homes and items. There are places (chat rooms) available either through a 2D or 3D chat environment. Wow that's way less dire of a plot than I thought it was.CyberTown (CT) (formerly Colon圜ity) is a free (as of 31 July 2011), family friendly, online community that has declined to a virtual ghost town over the last few years. Thanks in advance for any information! I've peeled through a lot of DOS and booter lists looking for keywords, so I could totally be off about the title.ĮDIT #2: NVM I somehow found it, it's called Gus Goes to Cybertown. The graphics were 2D and very animated in full color, and each of the locations took you to one specific screen, there was no scrolling or moving around. If I remember right as well, the main menu was a splash screen and you played the game by selecting "go to ", so there may have been other features involved that I didn't explore.ĮDIT: I don't think there was a UI, but there may have been items to refer back through a submenu. Pretty sure there was a mailbox in the post office that would cook a cake or a turkey or other dishes at random when you clicked on it. I don't remember the object of the game either, only that when you clicked on different things (like a beanbag in the library) they'd make sounds or do ridiculous things. There were probably more locations but I don't remember. The locations included a post office, a library, a subway, and an aquarium, always with punchy ridiculous songs when you clicked on them ("Post office post office P-Ohhh post office!"). The characters were voice acted but I don't think the pink girl ever spoke. There was definitely a main guide character of some sort introducing you to the city but I don't remember him at all, only that he gave instructions on reviving Whatsername, and you beat the game once that was done. There was also a green boy character in a red shirt and I think like a robot character of some sort, but that's all I remember about those. She had gravity-defying troll hair with yellow streaks iirc, and as you played through the locations she'd slowly come back to life, piece by piece. At the center of the city square was the statue of a pink girl with a yellow shirt who'd been frozen into a statue (there may have been an animation that explained why). It was set in some kind of city with people who defined themselves as monsters or ghosts or something unusual (if I remember right it was worked into the title, something "tropolis" or "city"). The point seemed to be toddler education, since it was mostly about identifying things, but I don't remember it teaching anything useful and if anything it was mostly comedic and entertaining. I think it was old enough to be 80's but could definitely be 90's, I was born just at the turn of the decade so I would've been playing these from about 1992-5 or so. Hi, I'm looking for a game that I remember playing alongside titles like Treasure Mountain and Mickey 123's Surprise Birthday party, so I'm assuming it was DOS but it could have been from a floppy.

If you’re optimizing by views only or some other standard application, that’s fine, but all you’re saying is that someone didn’t skip. But what separates us is that we’re optimizing interactive video by user engagement. We look at views, time spent, scene saves, clicks, shares, interactions, swipes and many other things like that. People aren’t just clicking and exploring these videos, they’re buying from them. They had to call us up to ask if we could quickly change the link to a general landing page rather than the specific product page for the jacket. During the holidays last year, we ran a campaign with a big retailer that ended up selling out of the product they were promoting in the video, which was a leather jacket. We’re set to release a SaaS platform sometime in 2021 that lets clients log in and do it for themselves.ĭo people actually buy things from interactive videos? We’ve done integrations with large publishers so that they can sell the capability of interactive video across their platforms, and then once they do we take it from here. But we also provide what we call managed SaaS. When we work with brands and agencies directly, we get the IO and our in-house team buys the media programmatically. We also did something neat for a studio that wanted a specific sound to play every time someone would mouse over items in their video that were related to a movie they were promoting. We integrated a map into a video for a local food delivery company that you could click on to choose a store and place orders in real time. You can also add in video overlays, like add to cart, form fill, links or descriptions. The videos are made to be programmatically distributed, and they’re player agnostic. On top of that, we have a bunch of different features and capabilities, including tracking, multiline tag creation and integrations with the likes of Moat and Integral Ad Science. For a 30-second ad, this whole process only takes a few minutes. There could be 50 different objects within a single image in a video and each one can be uniquely identified. We ingest a video and then use AI and machine learning to dynamically recognize the objects in the video and precisely trace the shape of each object to its pixel edge. The platform is a lot like a video-editing dashboard. The 9-year-old takes Zoom classes on his laptop while I’m doing Zoom calls with clients. The original trilogy centered on the Galactic Civil War, where the Rebel Alliance sought to free the galaxy from the Galactic Empire. The Rebel Alliance chose this insignia to honor Galen Marek, Darth Vader's redeemed apprentice. In Legends, the first possible appearance of this symbol was on the ruins of Rhen Var which were thought to predate the Old Sith Wars.
